Dr Maíra Mucci

Maíra studied Biology at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Brazil), specializing in Aquatic Ecology. In 2019, she completed her PhD at the Department of Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management at Wageningen University (The Netherlands).

Throughout her research, she evaluated and tested several ways to manage eutrophication and cyanobacterial blooms, mainly focussing on chemical inactivation of nutrients. She has published several scientific papers on lake restoration topics.

In 2019, she joined LSI as a scientific advisor and works concurrently as a researcher at Wageningen University.
